Mondo have recently completed the fit-out of a 10,000 square foot new store unit for one of the UK's leading petfood retailers.

We supplied the full turnkey package including: Tegometall long span racking, Tegometall modular 50mm pitch shelving system, New Concept internal signage offer, checkouts, bespoke dog deli unit, 180ltr shopping trolleys, CC5 cash & carry flat bed trolleys, stainless steel trolley bays, GenSlide ‘pullalong’ baskets, plastic hand baskets, various point of sale accessories, impulse buy units, display hooks & warehouse steps.

This project shows the full range of retail shop equipment that Mondo can offer all under one roof. Each new store that we fit out has an improvement on the last, by looking at the full store fit-out we are always willing & able to put forward new ideas & introduce these seamlessly into the clients format. This is our pro-active approach by looking at new ideas & ways to develop your business. Harlow saw Mondo introduce the new concept internal signage pack. After coming up with the initial concept, the client chose the fun animal images, a couple of store trials later & we were ready to go with the full range of directional hanging signs & magnetic vinyl fixture signs. This had a massive impact at Harlow & really promoted the clients strong brand around the store. This client has a simple & successful fit-out format that is tailored to suit their diverse product range. The long span racking provides the shelving for the perimeter walls & main gondola runs, the 50mm pitch Tegometall system then facilitates the need for all their shelving & slatwall fixtures. The 1330 promotional end units with the mesh side panels provide impact for special offers & seasonal promotions with the now famous dog deli pic’n’mix unit a focal point of the store for all the loose weigh dog treats & sweets.

The customers brand & livery is continued throughout the full range of our products, with the shopping trolleys & cash & carry trolleys both having the logo applied to the colour-coded handles. Subtle changes were also introduced at Harlow with the client wanting to change the shelf strip from cream to red. This had the desired effect giving an overall sharper look to the shelving display. Sometimes it is the simple things that make the biggest difference.

In conjunction with the clients new store opening team, this project was managed from start to finish on time & on budget & five months down the line the store is trading well.
