DESIGN OF A DOG DELI UNIT
Our client asked us to look at a way of maximising sales for a range of loose weigh treats & sweets for Dogs. From our initial concept sketches we at Mondo proposed a bespoke fixture that was fun, practical, durable & most importantly would show their products in such a way the customer would always use this unit time & again.
The unit was based on a pic'n'mix delicatessen style theme with a strong tubular frame that could carry 2 levels of clear acrylic fronted bulk display bins. With 32 bins in total this 2.5 metre long double-sided unit creates a natural themed area within the store, the clear fronted bins shows the product at their best, giving colour to the unit.
This unit is easy to maintain with the acrylic front panels being removable for cleaning. Also due to the high volume of sales the stock is always rotating. Store staff can easily when the bins needs filling.The whole family & their dog can be part of the dog deli experience. The customer has now rolled this unit out to each of their 44 existing stores & it is always on their wish list every time when the next new store comes up! The customer has confirmed that since the introduction of this fixture they are benefiting from a 30% uplift in sales on these. They are also confident that whilst a themed bespoke product breaks up standard shelving & racking they & their customers benefit form this unit.
